What does first time central heating mean?

 
First Time Central Heating Grants  means there is a grant available to homes that are having it fitted for the very first time.

How messy is installing central heating?

 It is likely to cause a bit of disruption to your home and life  for a few days.

You may find that some carpets will need to be lifted and surfaces might get a bit messy.

What Current Heating Types Are Accepted For The Grant

  1.  Your home must be fitted with one of the following heating systems:
  2. Electric room heaters  /  Electric storage heaters
  3. Gas / Oil / Solid  fuel  room heaters
  4. Gas fire only
  5. Mains gas warm air system
  6. Coal fire with back boiler , ( no radiators fitted )
  7. Electric underfloor / ceiling heating
  8. Bottled LPG  heating
  9. Wood/biomass room heating
  10. No Heating At All

Is The Grant For A Full Central Heating System?

Yes   First Time Central Heating Grants are available towards the cost of a Replacement Boiler or A brand new full Central Heating system.

The grant covers the cost of supplying and installing a central heating boiler together with radiators. Also included is  the necessary pipework and heating control systems.

Why A Government Grant For Central Heating ?

Free Government Grants For Central Heating are part of the Energy Company Obligation to fund new heating systems for those deemed in fuel poverty to enjoy a brand new gas central heating system fitted. In most cases they  cover the full cost of the work.

If your home does not currently have gas central heating fitted and your home is heated by another method, then you may be eligible to apply for this scheme.

Full central heating grants are non-repayable and they will not have to be paid back in the future.

A new central heating system cost in the UK generally falls between £3,500 and £7,000.
This can vary depending on a number of factors. This price will get you a full central heating system that includes a boiler, radiators, heating controls and pipework.

Are There grants for central heating scotland ?

 
Personal Independence Payment is not counted as a qualifying benefit that entitles a householder to support through the ECO central heating scheme. 


Is There first time central heating in wales?

Yes. Wales & Scotland  both have a free first time central heating scheme available. You can apply on this page too as all our approved installers cover this area.

Are there any grants available for Air Source Heat Pump central heating?

Yes . Some homes that are off the gas grid will be eligible for a free heat pump central heating. The homes will need to be solid wall to achieve maximum grants available and you may even get free external wall insulation too.

 
 

Are There central heating grants for over 60s

Pensioners receiving Pension Guarantee Credit and those receiving Working Tax Credit may be eligible for the free central heating  grant to assist them in becoming more fuel-efficient and lowering their heating bills.

Are There Grants For Central Heating Boilers?

Yes. You Can Apply For  Free Grant  To Replace Your Boiler Only If  It Is A Non Condensing Boiler Over 18 Years Old.
